Souper Bowl of Caring
Held in conjunction with the Super Bowl, the Souper Bowl of Caring food drive and fundraiser is an annual event to help fight student hunger.
In Utah 1 in 6 children are hungry, but in the Granite School District the number is 3 in 5 children. More than 41,000 students are food insecure, meaning they are unsure of where their next meal will come from. Our food assistance programs are designed as a temporary intervention to address hunger beyond the school day when cafeteria-based means are not available to our students (i.e. evenings, weekends, holidays).
Although the 2021 Souper Bowl of Caring has concluded, there are still ways you can help throughout the year:
- Promote a virtual food drive and stock our shelves
- Host your own food drive (collecting non-perishable food items) - click here for much needed items
Contact Granite Education Foundation (385) 646-KIDS or our Food Program Coordinator, Kim Oborn (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions.
