Making Spirits Brighter

2020 has been a uniquely challenging time for students, teachers, and families. From the Granite School District, to our wider community, to the world at large, humanity has been confronted by the painful spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the horrible truth of persistent racial intolerance and injustice, and the emergence of bitterly adversarial political discord.

But even as optimism dims and the world appears to darken, there remains hope—the hope of an outstretched hand, the hope that reminds us that which unites us is greater than that which divides us, and the hope that together we’re something greater than the sum of our parts. It is a hope that people remain inherently good and that a selfless act of charity can lay a foundation of strength and inspiration for a brighter tomorrow.

Now, with the holidays upon us and as 2020 begins to wind down, it is with this hope in mind that we invite you to join us in chasing away the darkness, in pursuing equity, and in making spirits brighter.

Because together we are strong.

Together we are Granite.

And You Can Win!

From November 1, 2020 to January 1, 2021, we challenge you to join us as we share daily challenges to help make holiday spirits brighter. It can begin with one person and one simple good deed, but you never know how that deed might lead to another, how much it might mean to someone else, or how far your actions might ultimately reach.
