Held in conjunction with the Super Bowl, the Souper Bowl of Caring food drive and fundraiser is an annual event to help fight student hunger.
In Utah 1 in 6 children are hungry, but in the Granite School District the number is 3 in 5 children. More than 41,000 students are food insecure, meaning they are unsure of where their next meal will come from. Our food assistance programs are designed as a temporary intervention to address hunger beyond the school day when cafeteria-based means are not available to our students (i.e. evenings, weekends, holidays).
Here are just a few ways you can get involved:
- Donate
- Host your own food drive (collecting non-perishable food items) - click here for much needed items
- Visit the Souper Bowl of Caring website to learn more about this national campaign.
