The Apple Fund
The Apple Fund is Granite Education Foundation’s initiative to recognize and support educators in the Granite School District. Inspired by the tradition of giving apples to teachers as a symbol of gratitude and appreciation, this fund provides Apple Grants—$250 grants—designed to help teachers offset classroom expenses and enhance learning environments.
Educators often spend $500–$1,000 of their own money on supplies and resources for their students. Through The Apple Fund, we aim to ease this burden, empowering teachers to focus on what they do best: inspiring, empowering, and preparing the next generation. With your support, we can honor our teachers and build a brighter future for all.
Beginning with a generous donation in 2023, grants were given to the Granite Education Foundation specifically to support elementary teachers. The Granite Education Foundation would like to expand the Apple Grants program to serve all teachers as more funds become available. Our goal is to reach as many schools as possible.
Apple Grants do not have an application process and are given according to the following criteria:
- The amount of funding available
- Equity among schools
- Schools served with grants in 2023-2024 will not receive grants in 2024-2025, unless enough funding is raised.
