Leadership Philosophy
My approach to leadership is built on the idea that a school thrives when everyone feels supported and empowered to lead and grow together. I don’t believe in a "top-down" style of leadership; instead, I focus on being a leader who serves the staff, students, and stakeholders within my school. By sharing responsibility with others around me, I make sure that leadership isn't just about one person, but about a team working together. This creates a culture where teachers and staff feel a real sense of ownership and are motivated to do their best work for our students.
I also understand that no two days in a school are the same, and different situations require different solutions. I make it a point to stay flexible, adjusting my support based on the specific situation or the needs of the person I’m working with. Whether we are tackling a new policy or solving a classroom challenge, I try to provide the right balance of direction and encouragement to help my team succeed in that moment, while also being set up for long-term success.
At the end of the day, my goal is to build a school where people can grow and students can succeed long-term. I believe in being completely transparent in my communication and constantly reflecting on how we can do better. By focusing on trust and shared responsibility, I aim to create a stable, welcoming environment where both our staff and our students feel they belong and can reach their full potential.
